For too long, women in high school sports have navigated leadership feeling isolated, underrepresented, and unsure where to turn for encouragement.
The Global Community of Women in High School Sports was created to change that. Together, we're building a community where women connect, grow, mentor one another, and create opportunities for the leaders who will follow.
What We Believe

Today, GCWHSS connects women and allies across the country through mentorship, leadership development, meaningful relationships, and a shared commitment to strengthening education-based athletics.
WHY I BUILT THE GLOBAL COMMUNITY
I didn't set out to build an organization.
I set out to solve a problem.
For years, I walked into rooms where I was one of only a few women. Sometimes I was the only one. I knew what it felt like to question whether I belonged, to wonder if my voice mattered, and to search for people who understood the unique challenges of leading in education-based athletics.
When I couldn't find the community I needed, I decided to build it.
Today, GCWHSS exists so that no woman has to lead alone.

Every opportunity I've been given can be traced back to someone who invested in me, opened a door, shared their wisdom, or reminded me that I belonged.
That's the heart of the Global Community of Women in High School Sports.
We believe leadership isn't meant to be experienced alone.
When one woman grows in confidence, mentors another leader, or creates an opportunity for someone else, that influence extends far beyond what she may ever see.
One conversation becomes a friendship.
One mentor develops another leader.
One leader changes a school.
One school changes a community.
That's the ripple effect.
It's why our work matters.
