YOU WERE NEVER MEANT TO DO THIS ALONE.
For too long, women in high school sports have navigated leadership feeling isolated, underrepresented, and unsure where to turn for encouragement.
The Global Community of Women in High School Sports was created to change that. Together, we're building a community where women connect, grow, mentor one another, and create opportunities for the leaders who will follow.
WHY I BUILT THE GLOBAL COMMUNITY
For much of my career, I was one of the few women in the room.
Sometimes, I was the only one.
Along the way, I was fortunate to be surrounded by people who believed in me, challenged me, and encouraged me to keep showing up. Their wisdom helped me find my voice, strengthened my confidence, and taught me that leadership is never meant to be a solo journey. They didn't simply open doors for me. They showed me what it looks like to hold those doors open for others.
As my own leadership journey continued, I began to notice a pattern. Women across the country were experiencing many of the same challenges I had faced. They were stepping into leadership roles without a strong network, questioning whether they truly belonged, and trying to navigate the profession without the encouragement and support they deserved.
That's when I realized we didn't need another organization.
We needed a community.
A place where women could connect, learn from one another, celebrate successes, navigate challenges together, and remind each other that none of us has to lead alone.
That vision became the Global Community of Women in High School Sports.
Today, our mission is to connect, grow, and sustain women in high school athletics by creating meaningful relationships, developing confident leaders, and building a profession where every woman knows she belongs.
The women who came before me helped make my journey possible. Building this community is my way of helping make the path a little wider for those who come next.
HOW WE WALK TOGETHER
Connect
Grow
Sustain
THE RIPPLE EFFECT
Meaningful change rarely begins with a grand gesture. More often, it begins with one conversation, one act of encouragement, or one person who chooses to believe in someone else.
I've experienced that truth throughout my own career. Every opportunity I've been given can be traced back to someone who invested in me, shared their wisdom, opened a door, or reminded me that I belonged. Those moments didn't just shape my journey. They changed the way I think about leadership.
That's the heart of the Global Community of Women in High School Sports.
We believe leadership isn't meant to be experienced alone, and its impact should never stop with one person. Every time a woman gains confidence, steps into a leadership role, mentors another professional, or creates an opportunity for someone else, that influence extends far beyond what she may ever see.
One conversation becomes a new friendship. One mentor helps develop a future leader. One leader creates opportunities for countless student-athletes, coaches, and colleagues. The impact continues to grow, reaching people and places we may never know.
That's the ripple effect.
It's the reason our work matters.
We're not simply building a professional network. We're creating a community where women encourage one another, share what they've learned, celebrate successes together, and remind each other that leadership is stronger when it's shared.
Every woman who joins the Global Community becomes part of something much larger than herself. Together, we're creating a future where women don't just find a seat at the table. They help build longer tables, welcome others in, and ensure the next generation never has to wonder if they belong.
Because when we invest in one woman, the impact reaches far beyond one career.
It strengthens schools.
It strengthens communities.
And ultimately, it strengthens the future of high school sports.
YOU BELONG HERE.
Whether you're just beginning your leadership journey or you've spent decades serving student-athletes, coaches, and schools, there is a place for you here.
The Global Community of Women in High School Sports was built on a simple belief: no woman should have to navigate leadership alone. We are stronger when we share our experiences, celebrate one another's successes, and encourage each other through life's challenges.
This community isn't about having all the answers.
It's about finding people who understand the questions.
It's about building relationships that last beyond conferences and committee meetings. It's about discovering mentors, becoming mentors, and creating opportunities for the women who will lead after us.
If you've ever wondered whether you belong, I hope you'll know this:
You do.
We'd be honored to walk alongside you.
