Leadership looks different after thirty years.
I've led people, gotten things wrong, changed my mind, found my voice — and spent a long time helping other people find theirs. This is where I write down what the work keeps teaching me.
Create belonging.
People don't do their best work in rooms where they're not sure they're wanted. Belonging isn't a mood you set once. It's a responsibility you carry every day you lead.
Lead with integrity.
Say what you mean. Do what you said. Let people watch you do it consistently, especially when no one's checking.
Give grace without abandoning accountability.
These aren't opposites. The best leaders I've known could hold both at once — care about the person and still expect the standard.
